So, you are in high school and you think you might need a resume some day. The only problem is that you really do not know how to write one. Fortunately, there are guidelines to help you create an awesome resume than employers will actually enjoy reading.

High School Student Resumes: Get the Facts

Most resumes have the same major sections. They are: Heading, Objective, Education, Experience, Activities/Awards and References. Employers like to know where to find the information they are seeking, so use the sections that are listed above and put them in a common resume format, such as: Chronological, Functional or Combination.

If you do not have any work experience, consider listing volunteer work and/or school-related experiences, such as design work for a yearbook, maintaining the equipment for the football team, participating in various clubs (especially as an officer) or something similar. All of those responsibilities and tasks can be used to emphasize your skills on a resume.

Accomplishments are probably the most important things you can list on a resume. This is true regardless of how old you are or how much experience you have. Employers like to see results. If you can show the employer that you set a goal and achieved it, then you will be more likely to impress them. A resume is the one tool that can help you realize your future employment dreams. It will lead you toward job success.

Here are a few additional resume tips to consider when writing your resume:

• Collect the information you need before actually writing the resume. Do not “wing it”. Prepare, plan, then place your skills and accomplishments on paper.
• Keep your statements to one or two sentences. Anything longer than that and the person reading your resume may lose interest.
• Effectively use the “white space” on your page. Guide the reader down the page, providing an occasional break for the eyes.
• Write professionally and eliminate jargon or slang. Do not substitute “u” for “you”. This is the real world now.
• Revise your resume until it is perfect.

What are trucking companies looking for in a resume? Absolutely nothing, as there is a shortage in trucking of over 135,000 truck drivers and by the end of 2007 industry analysts expect the shortage of truck drivers to be in excess of 160,000 truck drivers. If you are looking to drive a truck for a living and perhaps even see the country, then a driver job is waiting for you and your resume only needs to show that you have the drivers license and that you are trainable.

You see, trucking companies need people to drive so badly that they are taking people who barely speak English or even had just gotten out of prison and have felonies on their record. If you have a felony on your record about the only kind of truck you cannot drive is a Haz Mat truck or a trucking company, which has big military contracts to haul their freight around the country. You do not need much of a resume if you are looking for a job in the trucking industry as a truck driver.

The trucking companies will train you to get your commercial drivers license and offer you a fairly decent starting wage and they are competing with each other for truck drivers and so you need to shop around and look for the best deal for you. What are auto dealership service departments looking for in a resume? Well right now there are about 150,000 jobs available in auto services. Industry analysts and data show that by beginning of 2007 there will be 188,000 job openings in the automotive service sector.

As we watch General Motors, Delphi and Ford Motor Company lay off hundreds of thousands of people it still is not enough to fill all the jobs currently available in the auto maintenance and auto service sector. If you are looking for a job turning a wrench or working on cars you will find a job waiting for you now at an auto dealership service department.

What are corporations looking for in a resume, as there are many people applying for the same job? Corporations are looking for people who can get along with others and are personable. Corporations need people who are trainable and will listen to the corporate staff into as they are told. Corporations are looking for people who have been constantly employed and have finished college.

Corporations are looking for people with multiple degrees on their resume and who have worked in other large corporations through out their adult life. Corporations are looking to make sure there are no gaps in your resume between jobs. The human resource director of a large corporation during the job interview will make sure that you are well groomed and have a good personality and do not necessarily get agitated easily.

What are corporations looking for? They are looking for great people who will follow the rules and go with the flow. They are looking for a well done resume without mistakes, spelling errors or punctuation. Corporations are looking for a certain type of person who can get along with others and do as they are told.

What our government agencies looking for in a resume? They’re looking to hire minorities and people who will do as they are told an act like a little sheep while working. Government agencies are looking for people who respond to fear very well so they can control them in their daily jobs.

Government agencies are looking for highly stupid people with no one having an IQ of over 105 that way they can control the employee no matter what. Government agencies are looking for people who have a string of dead-end jobs and no initiative. Government agencies are not looking for self-employed people who take initiative, innovate and actually think.

I believe government agencies are looking for brain dead morons to move paper from desk to desk and put barriers to entry and stifle free enterprise and entrepreneurs who provide real jobs for the American people. Government agencies are working to grow their agencies and spend more tax dollars and they need people that will help them perpetuate the blob of bureaucracy and the BS that government is so good at.

Government agencies want to hire people who know how to waste money, waste time and will never get anything done, but rather are told what to do and never question authority. I believe government agencies are looking for idiots and that is exactly who they hire.

So, if you can demonstrate on your resume that your complete buffoon, then you have a good chance of securing the job you have always wanted in that government agency and get some good benefits too. Please consider this in 2006 and yes I am serious.

What our law firms looking for in a resume, well they’re looking for paralegals to do all the work and it is best to have little if any ethics if you wish to get hired, all they want is loyalty, not ethics. If you can demonstrate that you have no ethics and do not care about people and are only interested in making money and sponging off the wealth of society like a parasite in a scum pond, then you might be able to get a job at a well respected and professional law firm.

Law firms in my opinion are also looking for people who will help them double bill and triple bill clients for work that was never completed without saying anything. Law firms are looking for people who will look the other way and do as they are told and smile and wear nice clothes and act professional even though they are screwing over every man, woman and child in the United States of America and destroying our nation. I believe that law firms are looking for terrorists both domestic and international to help them or rip off society and civilization.

If you are looking for a job with a professional law firm; You need to be able to BS, have some acting experience and have been an only child. That helps. It also helps that you can demonstrate during the job interview that you can pretend to have ethical standards but are willing to do just about anything to make money.

They want to make sure you can lie just as good as they can and if so there is a job waiting for you whether or not you have a law degree in a professional law firm and that is my opinion and if you don’t like to you can stick it up your you know what.

What do political action committees look for when hiring employees to help them carry out their various political endeavors in order to get the candidates selected to office that they are interested in? What types of people are political action committees looking to hire to help them lobby our elected representatives to help get their way for their group?

Well, first they are looking for smart people who have good social skills and are not afraid to lie and have extremely low ethical standards. If you are a borderline criminal and you could care less about the rest of society and you only want to make a lot of money then working for a political action committee were you can use your skills as a liar then it makes a lot of sense for your future career path and it is all legal.

Are all political action committee employees and staff dishonest and disreputable and willing to tell lies, create misdirection and misrepresent the truth? No, not all of them are some are stupid followers who just listen to the rhetoric and believe it and purport whatever the political action committee tells them to say.

Political action committees also look for prostitutes both male and female to help them with their various endeavors. If you are a gay homosexual who is a big liar you can work for political action committee and blow your congressman. And you will not need very much on your resume to prove that you’re able to do that as the political action committee human resource person may give you the opportunity to demo your services. Consider all this in 2006.
